The town of Wolverton has been twinned with Ploegsteert, Belgium since 2006. The Affirmation of the Twinning Charter was signed by representatives from the two councils and for a number of years now our towns have taken it in turns to visit one another. You can get involved in these trips, head to our Twinning page.
Our parish has a proud and varied community. There are a wide range of community spaces and venues across the parish, giving rise to a multitude of clubs, groups, activities and sporting teams for residents to get involved in as well as events. To learn more about these, visit our Clubs and Associations page. There is a strong volunteering base, but we are always looking for more volunteers to help out in our community. One such group is Wolverton and Greenleys In Bloom which works throughout the parish tending to the flowers and planters.
We have worked hard to increase the parish's provision for our young people, find out what your child can get involved in on our Young People page. Wolverton Library is very well used and can be found in the Town Hall, where the Town Council office is. The Library has its own programme of events which can be found on that page too.
One of the ways the Town Council supports and fosters the social, sporting and cultural life of the parish is through grants. We welcome applications on behalf of all sections of the community. We are particularly keen to help grassroots community groups and small-to-medium-sized voluntary organisations.
