Wolverton & Greenleys Community Youth Council

We are delighted to announce the launch of the Wolverton & Greenleys Community Youth Council!

Wolverton & Greenleys CYC has been established to provide a voice for young people at a level to forge links and facilitate dialogue between young people and decision makers. We would like to make improvements to our communities and work on projects that can have a positive impact on people’s lives. You can read our constitution if you would like. We are actively looking for new members to join!

Join Us

Why Join?

The CYC aims to give younger people a voice in the community, to make a difference. You need to be aged between 11-18 to take part. This is a great opportunity for all younger people to have their say about issues that affect them and their communities. The CYC aims to raise the profile of young people to ensure that local decision makers recognise that younger people are the future generation and are an important part in our future.

Benefits of Joining

  • Excellent personal development opportunity
  • Join the steering committee and help establish the CYC
  • Work on issues that young people consider to be important to them and the community
  • Meet young people from your area
  • Learn new skills for example communication and leadership
The Community Youth Council is fully supported by Wolverton and Greenleys Town Council. If you are interested or have any more questions please contact Joe Quinn the Community Engagement and Projects Officer on 01908 326800 or via email.

Easter Egg Hunt

We had an ‘egg-cellent’ day in The Square running the Easter treasure hunt with Joe, the Community Engagement and Projects Officer. We gave out so many eggs we lost count and had to raid the shelves of local shops! Thanks to everyone who came down to take part in this event and well done for finding the mystery word, we hope you all had a ‘hoppy’ time. Thanks too to all the local businesses who supported this event.

Open Air Cinema Events

We are delighted to announce that Wolverton and Greenleys Town Council will be putting on a series of free open air cinema events across the parish in July and August. The showings will take place at 13:00 and 15:00 at the below locations and dates. We have selected a shortlist of films and would like to invite you to choose which films are shown at each screening- check out the advert on the back page of the magazine. Please do bring along food, drink, chairs and/or a picnic rug and make an occasion of it! There will be sweet treats to buy on the day.
