Afternoon Tea Assistant
Wolverton and Greenleys Town Council in partnership with Places for People run an afternoon tea-time club on Monday’s from 15:30-18:00 at Stacey Bushes Meeting Place. This is a safe environment for people to have something to eat and socialise. The club is currently run by a team of volunteers and we are looking for one or two more people to help with food preparation & serving, training can be provided. Also for the setting up and taking down of equipment, such as tables & chairs and to assist as required.

Wolverton and Greenleys In Bloom
Whether you’re a keen gardener or enjoy being outdoors, volunteering for the W&G In Bloom team is a great way to meet new people and get involved in community activities. Volunteering for the team can be as regular as you wish and you can make this role as active as you want to. You do not need to have any gardening experience.

Wolverton Community Orchard
There is always a range of tasks to do in the Community Orchard, with volunteers working hard. Tuesdays is the regular work day if you would like to come along and help, anytime between 10:00-13:00. We’re in the alleyway off Woburn Avenue.

Wolverton Secret Garden
There is always lots to do in the Wolverton Secret Garden, with volunteers working hard. Saturday between 11:00-13:00 is the regular work day. You would be welcome to to come along and help. All tools are provides and everyone will be greeted with open arms.

Wolverton Health Centre Patient Participation Group
Are you a patient at Wolverton Health Centre? Are you interested in helping to shape and improve the care and services the health centre offers? If so, please consider joining the patient participation group. Meetings are usually the first Monday of the month at 18:30-19:30 at the health centre.
If you are unable to join the group, you can sign up to receive the regular newsletter and updates about the activities of the group.

Wolverton Lantern Festival
This is a huge event to plan and deliver and the handful of volunteers who organise the Festival really need your help.
The Lantern Festival involves tasks like: design and publicity; marketing and promotion; fundraising and grant applications; road closure and risk assessments. Plus much more!

FoodCycle Wolverton
FoodCycle Wolverton cooks up a meal every Friday lunchtime for anyone from Wolverton or beyond to enjoy and is looking for volunteers to help.
You don’t need to have any previous cooking or serving experience. You’ll be supported by a FoodCycle Project Leader, who will help make sure the session goes smoothly and is there for any questions you might have, so you don’t have to be a chef to get involved!
Wolverton and Stony Stratford Rotary Club
We are a friendly club that welcomes new members – men and women – who feel they would like to ‘put something back into their community’. Rotary is a non-political, non-religious, humanitarian charitable organisation. We meet every Tuesday at 18:15, although you are not required to attend all meetings, some are meals at the Cock Hotel, Stony Stratford, and some online.

Electra
Electra is the all-electric community boat, based on the Grand Union Canal, run by a dedicated team of volunteers from the Bedford & Milton Keynes Waterway Trust.
There are currently shore-based volunteering vacancies in Stock Controller, Welcome Centre Coordinator, Customer Liaison, Social Media, Marketing, Outreach, Fundraising and Project Management. The shore-based roles can work from home, or the Welcome Centre at Campbell Wharf.

MK Museum is a vibrant community museum in Wolverton run almost entirely by volunteers. With steadily increasing visitor numbers we are seeking new volunteers to help with our activities in all areas. Previous experience is not necessary; any skills you can offer would be welcome.
